Nadja Dobnik
Nadja Dobnik is a translator from French and Italian, French copy editor, mentor and editor. She has translated a number of contemporary French and Italian authors into Slovenian (Yves Bonnefoy, Philippe Jaccottet, Jacques Roubaud, André Velter, Jean-Michel Maulpoix, Christian Bobin, Fabio Scotto, Fabrizio Dall'Aglio, Antonio Tabucchi, Andrei Makine, Patrick Modiano, Gilles Leroy, etc.). She teaches French for Business and Translation from French courses at the University of Ljubljana. She has been researching and teaching the didactics of translation since 2005, and running translation workshops for young translators. Some of the texts translated in these workshops have been published in book form (Quignard, Makine, Teulé, Tournier). She is a member of the Poetikon journal editorial board, the co-founder of the Hiša poezije literary society, and the editor for its book series, Ginko.
